Kings' Kevin Huerter: Day-to-day with shoulder sprain
Huerter is expected to be day-to-day with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Huerter sustained the injury at the 5:25 mark of the third quarter in Thursday's 111-109 victory over the Pelicans. The depth wing was able to finish the contest with seven points (2-10 FG, 1-8 3PT, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and three steals across 28 minutes. It is possible his poor shooting effort could be attributed to the shoulder injury. The Kings next play Monday versus the Nuggets. Should he ultimately miss time, Keon Ellis and Colby Jones are candidates to absorb his minutes.

Kings' Kevin Huerter: Goes for 26 points off bench
Huerter ended Sunday's 141-97 victory over Utah with 26 points (10-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 22 minutes.
Even though Malik Monk has taken over as Sacramento's starting shooting guard, Huerter certainly made the most of his minutes in this blowout win and led the team in scoring. The 26-point haul was a season-high mark for Huerter, who has scored in double digits in three of his last four outings. However, despite the uptick in his play, he's not likely to return to the starting lineup.

Huerter played 25 minutes off the bench during his return and worked through some rust before finding his three-point shot. Coach Mike Brown has said Malik Monk will stick as the starting shooting guard moving forward, so Huerter will have to compete with Keon Ellis for backup minutes.

Kings' Kevin Huerter: Practices, questionable for Tuesday
Huerter (ankle) was a full participant during Monday's practice and will be listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Rockets, Frankie Cartoscelli of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports.
Huerter sprained his ankle in Friday's loss to the Trail Blazers and didn't play in Sunday's loss to the Spurs. While his involvement in practice Monday bodes well for his chances of playing Tuesday, Huerter has lost his spot in the starting five, with head coach Mike Brown indicating that Malik Monk will start at shooting guard moving forward. Meanwhile, Keon Ellis has also carved out a larger role off the bench, so Huerter could be in store for limited minutes if he's available Tuesday.

Kings' Kevin Huerter: Doesn't practice Saturday
Huerter (ankle) didn't practice Saturday and is expected to be listed as doubtful to play Sunday against the Spurs, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Huerter exited Friday's game against the Blazers with a right ankle injury after being unintentionally tripped early in the second quarter, and the fact that he didn't practice Saturday suggests his chances of playing Sunday are slim. Even if he's deemed available, Huerter shouldn't carry a lot of fantasy upside. He's been playing off the bench recently, with Keon Ellis taking over as the starting shooting guard in the team's last three games.

Kings' Kevin Huerter: Leaves early with ankle injury
Huerter won't return to Friday's game against the Blazers due to a right ankle injury, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.

The 26-year-old came off the bench Friday for the third game in a row with Keon Ellis having supplanted him as the Kings' starting shooting guard. Kings' Kevin Huerter: Shifting to bench
Huerter isn't starting Monday's game against the Thunder, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Huerter has started each of the 15 games he's appeared in this season, but the Kings have elected to shake things up by inserting Keon Ellis into the starting five. Huerter has averaged 33.0 minutes over his last five appearances, so he's still likely to see plenty of opportunities despite a move to the bench.

Kings' Kevin Huerter: Wakes up with 22 points
Huerter totaled 22 points (9-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists and three steals across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 127-104 win over the Suns.
Huerter stepped up after DeMar DeRozan (back) exited the game and blew well past his previous season high with 22 points. While Heurter has held on to a starting role with Sacramento, his production has been spotty in recent weeks. DeRozan has inherited a sizable role in the offense, which limits Huerter's involvement, but the latter has the ability to pop with double-digit totals on occasion.
