Top Josh Giddey News

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Stuffs stat sheet Monday

Giddey recorded 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Monday's 119-113 loss to Cleveland.

Giddey recorded at least one tally in each of the five major categories and was efficient from the field. Unfortunately, he came up short of recording a double-double by just two boards and three dimes. Giddey is enjoying a strong start to the season with Chicago and is averaging 12.7 points, 8.0 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game since the beginning of November.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Stuffs stat sheet Saturday

Giddey ended with 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Saturday's 125-113 win over Atlanta.

Giddey had a strong performance on both ends of the court, and as has been the trend with him since moving to Chicago, he's stuffing the stat sheet admirably. Giddey has scored in double digits in all but one of his appearances in 2024-25 while also posting solid numbers as a playmaker, rebounder and on-ball defender. Giddey will remain valuable in fantasy as long as he can keep racking up stats left and right, even though he shares the court with two high-usage players, Zach LaVine and Coby White, on a regular basis. Giddey's ability to stuff the stat sheet is critical for his upside.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Hands out season-high 13 dimes

Giddey had nine points (3-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds and 13 assists across 30 minutes during Thursday's 135-119 loss to the Timberwolves.

Giddey failed to reach double digits in the scoring column for the first time this season, but he replaced the lack of firepower on offense with an excellent showing as a playmaker. Giddey is showing the outstanding stat-filling ability he had previously shown during his OKC tenure. He's recorded three double-doubles so far and has proven to be able to make a huge impact in several categories. He's re-establishing his value as a reliable fantasy contributor, particularly in category-based leagues.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Plays through illness Wednesday

Giddey posted 10 points (3-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 119-99 loss to the Mavericks.

Giddey continues to battle an ongoing illness, although he once again suited up Wednesday. He finished with a serviceable line given his health and the fact the game was a blowout. It's been a solid start to his career in Chicago and barring a change in direction, he should continue to run as the starting point guard moving forward.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Officially available

Giddey (illness) will play in Wednesday's game against the Mavericks.

Giddey has been dealing with a non-COVID illness throughout the week, and he'll play through the sickness once again Wednesday. The 22-year-old is averaging 14.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists across 29.1 minutes per game this season. He's received 30 or more minutes in three straight games and could see and expanded role with Zach LaVine (thigh) sidelined.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Expected to play Wednesday

Giddey is probable for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks due to a non-COVID illness.

Giddey is expected to play through a minor illness for a second straight game. He shook off a probable tag Monday and posted 15 points (5-11 FG), seven assists, two rebounds and a steal in 30 minutes during a loss to Utah.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Good to go

Giddey (illness) will play in Monday's game against Utah.

Giddey was added to the injury report as probable due to an illness, but it won't keep him out of Monday's clash. He's been a force on the glass of late, averaging 14.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.3 steals over his last three appearances.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Probable for Monday

Giddey (illness) is probable for Monday's game against the Jazz.

Giddey was a late addition to the injury report, but it doesn't sound like the illness will keep him out of the lineup. The guard is averaging 14.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.2 assists through six games.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Double-double against Orlando

Giddey supplied 20 points (6-11 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 102-99 victory over the Magic.

The former Thunder guard posted a season high in points while delivering his second straight double-double as he continues to get acclimated to his new teammates and system. Giddey has had a strong start to his Chicago tenure, averaging 15.4 points, 8.4 boards, 5.8 assists and 2.0 threes through five games while shooting a blistering 58.8 percent (10-for-17) from beyond the arc.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Comes close to triple-double

Giddey racked up 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 13 rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal across 28 minutes during Monday's 126-123 win over Memphis.

Giddey has yet to record his first triple-double with the Bulls, but he's been doing a good job filling the stat sheet every time he steps on the court. The former Thunder guard is making the most of the expanded role with Chicago, and the numbers back that up. Giddey has averaged 14.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game through his first four outings.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Solid effort against former team

Giddey had 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt), seven rebounds and four assists across 26 minutes in Saturday's 114-95 loss to the Thunder.

Giddey couldn't repeat the 17-point, nine-assist effort he delivered Friday in the win over the Bucks, but Giddey still posted a decent stat line in his first game against the Thunder since being traded in the summer. Giddey has been solid to open the season and should remain a valuable fantasy option across most formats due to his ability to fill the stat sheet. Through three outings, he's averaging 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game despite not playing more than 30 minutes in any contest.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Solid all-around showing Friday

Giddey produced 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and nine assists across 24 minutes during Friday's 133-122 victory over the Bucks.

Giddey had a modest output in the season-opening loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday, but he played a prominent role in this win, ending just one assist away from a double-double and leading the Bulls in that category. At his best, Giddey is a player capable of racking up stats and filling out the stat sheet on a regular basis, and his numbers should trend in the right direction -- compared to the season opener -- as he gets more comfortable running the offense alongside Coby White, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Modest numbers in Chicago debut

Giddey chipped in 14 points (5-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-7 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 123-111 loss to New Orleans.

In his Bulls debut, Giddey struggled to make an impact at both ends of the court, posting a team-worst minus-22 plus-minus rating and committing as many turnovers as he had assists. The 22-year-old guard's numbers declined last season with OKC, but Giddey should see a higher usage rate in Chicago, especially if the team trades away veterans like Zach LaVine.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Starting season opener

Giddey is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.

Giddey will start in his regular-season Bulls debut, filing in next to Coby White, Zach LaVine, Patrick Williams and Nikola Vucevic in the first unit. Giddey averaged 12.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists across 25.2 minutes per game during the 2023-24 regular season.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Not listed on injury report

Giddey (rest) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Pelicans.

As expected, Giddey is good to go for the regular season after resting during the preseason finale. After falling out of favor in Oklahoma City, Giddey is looking for a fresh start as a full-time starter with the new-look Bulls, who moved on from DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso this offseason.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Sitting out preseason finale

Giddey won't play in Friday's preseason game versus the Cavaliers for rest purposes, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.

Giddey hasn't suffered any injury but will sit out Friday's preseason finale. The 22-year-old guard should be able to suit up for Chicago's regular-season opener against New Orleans on Wednesday.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Hands out five dimes Monday

Giddey finished with 12 points (4-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, five assists and a block across 22 minutes in Monday's 111-107 preseason loss to the Bucks.

Giddey is slated to open the 2024-25 season as the Bulls' starting point guard, so it's certainly a good omen to see him lead the team in assists in a game where none of the other projected starters saw action. Giddey is coming off a down 2023-24 season with the Thunder, but he has a good chance of bouncing back in Chicago, where he'll have a bigger role and more freedom on offense.

  • Bulls' Josh Giddey: Chips in 11 points Tuesday

Giddey scored 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) while adding seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal in 22 minutes during Tuesday's 116-112 preseason win over the Cavaliers.

The 21-year-old guard has been on the mend in training camp from an ankle injury he picked up in the Olympics, but Giddey seemed fully recovered Tuesday, and only Coby White played more minutes among Chicago's starting five in the team's preseason opener. Giddey saw his court time and production decline with the Thunder last season, but a fresh start with the Bulls could re-ignite the talent that allowed him to average 16.6 points, 7.9 boards and 6.2 assists over 76 regular-season games in 2022-23.
