Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Makes history in victory
Nembhard closed Monday's 131-121 win over the Nuggets with 28 points (12-14 FG, 4-5 3Pt), 10 assists and three rebounds in 35 minutes.
Nembhard got the starting nod for a third consecutive game and delivered a dominant performance in the win. The two-way player was the team's second-leading scorer and dished out a team-high 10 dimes, becoming the first undrafted rookie in NBA history to record 25 points and 10 assists with zero turnovers. He'll likely continue to see meaningful playing time at the NBA level, and if he continues to impress, he could earn a standard contract at some point this season.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Plays well in start
Nembhard recorded 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Friday's 129-119 loss to the Lakers.
Nembhard replaced Brandon Williams in the starting five. Williams' performances have been up and down, though he has provided solid value for fantasy managers after replacing D'Angelo Russell in the lineup. Now, the point guard position continues its instability. Friday marked Nembhard's seventh appearance of the season and his best. He'll presumably start again Saturday when the Mavericks face the Clippers.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Confirmed starter Friday
Nembhard is in the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Lakers on Friday, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
Nembhard will start in his first NBA regular-season game Friday while Brandon Williams comes off the bench. Nembhard played 17 minutes during Dallas' loss to Miami on Monday -- all in the second half -- and the undrafted rookie out of Gonzaga appears to have earned a regular spot in the Mavericks' rotation, at least in the short term.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Expected to make first NBA start
Nembhard is expected to enter the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Lakers on Friday, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
Nembhard struggled to establish a consistent role in the Mavericks' rotation to open the regular season. However, the undrafted rookie saw extended run time during the Mavericks' 106-102 loss to the Heat, when he played 17 minutes (despite not entering the game until the third quarter) and finished with two points, seven assists and three rebounds. Nembhard's addition to the Mavericks' starting five means Brandon Williams will likely revert to a bench role Friday.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Dishes out seven dimes in return
Nembhard (knee) recorded two points (1-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt), seven assists and three rebounds across 17 minutes off the bench in Monday's 106-102 loss to the Heat.
Though Nembhard hadn't been a regular part of the Dallas rotation before being shut down just over a week ago due to a sprained left knee, head coach Jason Kidd didn't hesitate to ride the rookie heavily down the stretch Monday in his return to action. Nembhard didn't check into the game until midway through the third quarter, but he served as Dallas' point guard for all but one of the game's final 17 minutes while Brandon Williams and D'Angelo Russell were relegated to the bench. While he didn't shoot the ball well, Nembhard excelled as a distributor, and he could prove to be an excellent source of assists if Kidd elects to expand his role moving forward at the expense of Williams and/or Russell. Nembhard notably led all of Division I with an average of 9.8 assists per game as a senior at Gonzaga during his final season of college in 2024-25.

Nembhard (knee) is available for Monday's game against the Heat, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Nembhard will be available to play following a five-game absence due to a sprained left knee. The two-way player isn't guaranteed to see the floor, but he could enter the rotation if Brandon Williams (back) is downgraded from questionable to out.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Remaining out Saturday
Nembhard (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.
Nembhard will miss his fifth consecutive contest due to a sprained left knee. It was reported Nov. 17 that the undrafted rookie would miss 2-to-3 weeks, so the fact that he was initially listed as doubtful for Saturday's contest bodes well for his chances of returning in the near future.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Upgraded to doubtful
Nembhard (knee) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.
Nembhard was given a 2-to-3 week timeline Nov. 17, so he appears to be making good progress but will likely miss at least one more game. Given all the injuries in Dallas, Nembhard could carve out a role when he's healthy, as he's played double-digit minutes in three of his five appearances this season.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Out at least 2-3 weeks
Nembhard (knee) will miss at least the next 2-3 weeks of action, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Head coach Jason Kidd said that he was "hopeful" to have Nembhard back in 2-3 weeks, so his timetable isn't set in stone. Through five appearances with the Mavericks this season, Nembhard has averaged 3.2 points and 1.8 assists in 9.0 minutes per game.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Ruled out vs. Minnesota
Nembhard (knee) won't be available for Monday's game against Minnesota, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
A sprained knee is going to prevent Nembhard from suiting up in a second consecutive game. His next chance to play arrives Wednesday against the Knicks. The undrafted rookie's absence doesn't seem to free up a noticeable amount of playing time in the Dallas rotation.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Dealing with knee sprain
Nembhard (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
The undrafted rookie has seen inconsistent minutes off the bench this season, but he won't be available for Sunday's game due to a left knee sprain. His next opportunity to play will be in the second leg of the Mavericks' back-to-back set Monday against the Trail Blazers.

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Dishes dozen dimes Monday
Nembhard produced six points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 assists, five rebounds and a steal in 26 minutes off the bench during Monday's 114-101 preseason win over the Jazz.
The undrafted rookie out of Gonzaga is unlikely to win a spot on the Mavericks' roster to begin the season, but Nembhard came through with a strong performance Monday when given the chance. Nembhard may need a rash of injuries in the Dallas backcourt to see meaningful minutes this season, but that isn't a far-fetched scenario with Kyrie Irving (knee) likely out until after Christmas and both Dante Exum (knee) and Brandon Williams (hamstring) nursing lower-body issues of their own.

The Mavericks shut Nembhard down early after a strong showing in the Summer League for rest, but there were no injuries reported at the time. Nembhard is on a two-way contract and will likely feature heavily in the G League to open the 2025-26 season.

Nembhard has been ruled out of Wednesday's Summer League game against Philadelphia for undisclosed reasons, Noah Weber of TheSmokingCuban.com reports,

Mavericks' Ryan Nembhard: Paces Dallas in SL loss
Nembhard generated 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight assists and three rebounds across 25 minutes in Monday's 87-69 Summer League loss to the Hornets.
Nembhard led Dallas in scoring and posted a game-high mark in assists during the low-scoring affair. The 22-year-old guard bounced back from a two-point performance in Saturday's loss to the Spurs, when he shot 1-for-10 from the field. He has now tallied at least five assists in all three of Dallas' Summer League games.
