Thunder's Ousmane Dieng: Sticking with Thunder
Dieng's fouth-year rookie option was exercised by Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Dieng is now under contract with the Thunder through the 2025-26 season. The 6-foot-9 combo-forward is likely too raw to relevantly contribute to Oklahoma City's rotation in the upcoming campaign, but the 21-year-old remains a toolsy and versatile developmental case to monitor.

Thunder's Ousmane Dieng: Sniffs triple-double in win
Dieng delivered 20 points (7-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds, nine assists and two blocks across 37 minutes in Thursday's 117-89 preseason win over the New Zealand Breakers.
Dieng has made over 30 appearances for the Thunder in each of his first two seasons in the NBA, and he continues to grow as a player after being one of the youngest players selected in the 2022 NBA Draft. Dieng isn't expected to play a prominent role for the Thunder once the regular season begins in late October. However, he might get an extra look during the Thunder's final two preseason contests.

Thunder's Ousmane Dieng: Status in question for Tuesday
Dieng is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Jazz due to a left hip strain, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Dieng logged only nine minutes in Sunday's 135-127 double-overtime victory over the Raptors, but he evidently stayed in the game long enough to tweak his hip. He'll likely need to prove his health in shootaround and pregame warmups to gain clearance ahead of Tuesday's 9 p.m. ET opening tip.

Thunder's Ousmane Dieng: Gets nine minutes in OT win
Dieng scored two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and added one rebound over nine minutes Sunday in the Thunder's 135-127 double-overtime win over the Raptors.
With Jalen Williams (ankle) having missed the Thunder's last three games, Dieng has been able to hold down a rotation spot in each of those contests. The second-year player has been held under 10 minutes in two of those games, however, and his meager production during his time on the court Sunday doesn't give him a strong case for seeing his role expand anytime soon. In fact, Dieng could be assigned to the G League's Oklahoma City Blue in short order, especially if Williams is cleared to play in the Thunder's next game Tuesday at Utah.
