Wright is averaging 23.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks per game over his first nine contests with Texas. The Georgia Tech product is on fire as of late, averaging 33.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game over his last two outings with Texas. Wright is currently on a two-way contract with the Mavericks and if he continues to string together outings like these, it would not be surprising to see him eventually get called up to Dallas.

Wright recorded 25 points (11-18 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, five blocks and an assist across 44 minutes before fouling out Saturday against the Blue.

Wright was the team's best player by a wide margin but he fouled out late in the fourth quarter, and that ended up being a huge loss, as Agua Caliente ended up losing by just one point. Wright has settled well into the G League and has been extremely productive in recent contests.

The former Georgia Tech standout continues to produce at both ends of the court for Agua Caliente, though his touches on offense might decrease a bit with the return of Xavier Moon to the starting lineup.

  • Moses Wright: Becomes free agent

The Clippers didn't re-sign Wright (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) when his 10-day contract expired Friday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

The decision to move on from Wright comes as little surprise after the rookie big man out of Georgia Tech was placed in the protocols with just three days left on his 10-day deal. Since he was unlikely to fully clear the protocols for several more days, the Clippers determined that the hardship exemption the team received from the NBA could be better used elsewhere. Wright appeared in one game during his time with LA, recording one assist in one minute in a 105-89 win over the Kings on Dec. 22.
