  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Delivers monster night in win

Clingan collected 23 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT), 18 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks across 31 minutes during Thursday's 135-119 victory over the Jazz. Clingan posted a strong shooting performance, drilling 66.7 percent of his field-goal attempts on the night. He finished second on his club in scoring behind Jrue Holiday's 31 points, and Clingan dominated on the boards for a team-high 18 rebounds while also setting a new career high with his seven assists. He's now secured four double-doubles in seven February appearances.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Posts solid line in decisive win

Clingan contributed 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and four blocks across 28 minutes during Monday's 135-118 win over the 76ers. Clingan enjoyed an efficient night against the Sixers, who had to manage without Joel Embiid (rest). Embiid's absence created an exploitable opportunity for Clingan, who was able to keep Andre Drummond under wraps. Clingan failed to hit the double-double milestone after reaching it three consecutive times, but the second-year pro has several to his credit. He currently ranks 13th in the league with 20 double-doubles.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Explodes with 20/19 double-double

Clingan had 20 points (8-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 19 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 36 minutes during Saturday's 122-115 victory over the Grizzlies. Clingan has been a demon off the glass over the past week, averaging 15.8 rebounds over the past four games. Portland has gone 2-2 during this period, which is impressive considering the continued absence of Deni Avdija (back). Clingan's results have been critical to keeping Portland afloat, and he needs to stay effective as the Trail Blazers try to remain competitive in the playoff race.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Records 14/15 double-double

Clingan supplied 14 points (4-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists and two blocks over 27 minutes during Tuesday's 130-125 loss to the Suns. Clingan was able to hold off Mark Williams during the loss and dominated the boards during the defeat. Clingan has 20-rebound upside, a threshold he has passed twice this season. He's currently ranked third in the NBA with an average of 11.2 rebounds per game, ahead of standouts like Victor Wembanyama and Ivica Zubac.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Swats four shots in loss

Clingan had eight points (3-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and four blocks across 27 minutes during Sunday's 130-111 loss to the Cavaliers. Clingan struggled in the scoring column but finished one assist shy of his season-high mark. The second-year center also recorded a team-best 12 rebounds and has grabbed double-digit boards in four of his last five outings. Additionally, he tied the game high in blocks and has swatted 10 shots over his last four games. During that four-game span, he has averaged 9.5 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.3 assists in 26.8 minutes per contest.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Grabs 16 boards in loss

Clingan logged 13 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt), 16 rebounds, two assists and three steals in 29 minutes during Friday's 110-98 loss to the Raptors. Clingan recorded his fourth double-double in the past five games, continuing to deliver elite rebounding numbers on a regular basis. While the production has certainly been adequate, his lack of blocks is something that can't be overlooked. In his past six games, Clingan has tallied two total blocks, less than adequate for a player whose value is built around defensive contributions. Look for him to try and get back on track against the Celtics on Monday.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Pulls down 12 rebounds

Clingan ended with nine points (3-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-7 FT), 12 rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes during Thursday's 117-101 victory over Atlanta. For the 23rd time this campaign, Clingan recorded double-digit rebounds for Portland. The second-year center is in the midst of a solid campaign, as he's on pace for seventh-round value in nine-category formats with averages of 10.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Regresses in narrow win

Clingan totaled 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists and one block over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 103-102 win over the Rockets. Although the Rockets were vulnerable under the basket without Alperen Sengun's (ankle) services, Clingan was unable to take advantage. Fortunately for the Trail Blazers, Deni Avdija was able to pick up most of the slack with a career-high performance, and the team prevailed despite less potency from their young center. Clingan snapped a three-game double-double streak, but he'll try to renew another run in a Friday rematch against the Rockets.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Records 17 boards in victory

Clingan notched 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt), 17 rebounds, two assists and three blocks across 33 minutes during Monday's 137-117 victory over the Jazz. Although Jusuf Nurkic outscored Clingan in the paint, Clingan won the rebound battle and logged his third-best total in the category while increasing his double-double streak to four games. Clingan is proving to be well worth his first-round selection in the 2024 Draft, and his steady play makes him one of the most consistent big men in the Western Conference with a 33-game average of 11.2 points and 10.8 rebounds.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Goes for season-high 24 points

Clingan closed Saturday's 115-110 win over the Spurs with 24 points (9-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 12 rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes. Clingan did most of his damage in the first half, scoring 18 of his season-high 24 points. He finished with what was his fourth double-double in the past five games, all of which have resulted in victories for the Trail Blazers. While he does have some offensive limitations, Clingan has been able to maintain consistent fantasy value, averaging 11.2 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks through 32 games.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Logs double-double in win

Clingan registered 11 points (5-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist and one block across 30 minutes during Friday's 122-109 victory over the Pelicans. Clingan grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds during Friday's win and scored in double digits for the seventh time over his last nine outings. The second-year center has recorded three double-doubles over his last four games and is up to 11 on the season, which is tied with Deni Avdija for most on the Trail Blazers. Over his last 10 appearances, Clingan has averaged 12.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.2 threes and 1.3 blocks over 29.0 minutes per game.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Extends range behind the arc

Clingan finished with 19 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-13 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks over 35 minutes during Thursday's 134-133 overtime win over the Kings. Clingan was impressive overall against Sacramento. The Connecticut product is known for hitting the glass and protecting the rim, which he did Thursday to the tune of eight boards and two blocks. He also sank a pair of three-pointers, which is huge for Portland's offense. If Clingan can draw rim protectors to the arc, it will open more space for his teammates to drive.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Brings defense in return

Clingan (lower leg) recorded three points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three blocks, three assists and one steal across 22 minutes Sunday in the Trail Blazers' 136-131 win over the Warriors. Portland plugged Clingan back into the starting five after he had missed the previous three contests due to a left lower leg contusion, but he wasn't asked to handle heavy minutes while interim head coach Tiago Splitter occasionally turned to either Sidy Cissoko or Jerami Grant to serve as small-ball centers when Clingan and top backup Robert Williams were off the court. Clingan was still able to make an impact in the defensive categories and on the glass during his time on the floor, but he continued to remain relatively uninvolved on offense. He's maintaining a modest 15 percent usage rate for the season and has reached double figures in scoring in just eight of his 22 appearances.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Iffy for Sunday

Clingan (lower leg) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Warriors. Clingan will look to snap a three-game absence due to a lower leg contusion. If the second-year center is cleared to play, Kris Murray is expected to slide back to the second unit. Over his last five appearances, Clingan has averaged 9.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 23.8 minutes per contest.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Listed as questionable

Clingan (leg) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. Clingan remains day-to-day after missing Friday's game against Detroit. If the big man is unable to suit up, the Trail Blazers could again rely on Robert Williams and Duop Reath to fill the void at center.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Won't play Friday

Clingan (leg) has been ruled out for Friday's game in Detroit. With Clingan unavailable, Robert Williams and Duop Reath will have the opportunity for some extended minutes, and Yang Hansen might be able to get into the rotation. For now, Clingan should be considered questionable for Sunday's game in Memphis.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Iffy for Friday

Clingan (leg) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pistons. After missing Sunday's loss to the Thunder due to an illness, Clingan appeared in both halves of Portland's recent back-to-back set. He was also listed as questionable for Wednesday's win in Cleveland due to this lower leg issue, but he ended up suiting up, posting five points, 13 rebounds and a block in 25 minutes.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Cleared to play

Clingan (leg) will play Wednesday against the Cavaliers. A left lower leg contusion won't stop Clingan from playing Wednesday. The second-year center has averaged 10.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.5 blocks per contest in 20 games this season.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Available Tuesday

Clingan (illness) is available for Tuesday's game against the Raptors. The second-year big man will suit up after missing Sunday's loss to the Thunder due to an illness. With Clingan back in action, Kris Murray is expected to retreat to the second unit. Over his last five outings, Clingan has averaged 14.0 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 blocks in 26.8 minutes per contest.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Questionable with illness

Clingan (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Raptors. The second-year big man missed Sunday's game against the Thunder with an illness, and the Trail Blazers are likely to re-evaluate him closer to Tuesday's tipoff. More playing time would be open to Robert Williams off the bench if Clingan is unable to suit up against Toronto, and Kris Murray would also have additional streaming appeal in this case.
