Simons was one of the few Celtics to get his points efficiently Wednesday evening, but with Boston getting blown out, Simons didn't log his usual minutes and wasn't able to capitalize on the hot shooting. Inconsistency has been a theme for Simons this season, which is why he ranks outside the top 150 with averages of 13.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.6 triples per game.

Celtics' Anfernee Simons: Paces Boston's bench in loss
Simons notched 21 points (8-16 FG, 5-11 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists and two steals across 28 minutes during Saturday's 114-111 loss to the Bulls.
Simons had another strong performance off the bench Saturday, leading the Celtics in three-pointers while finishing second in scoring behind Jaylen Brown (33 points). It was the eighth 20-plus-point performance of the season for Simons and first since his 39-point outburst against the Heat on Jan. 15. He has averaged 16.1 points, 3.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 3.5 threes over 26.7 minutes per game since the start of January while connecting on 45.0 percent of his three-point attempts over that span.

Simons continues to be a hit-or-miss fantasy asset off the bench in Boston. Celtics' Anfernee Simons: Explodes for 39 points off bench
Simons logged 39 points (13-28 FG, 7-16 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 34 minutes during the Celtics' 119-114 win over the Heat on Thursday.
Simons gave the Celtics the spark they needed to overcome a slow start to Thursday's game. He started out hot with 11 points in the first quarter, but he made his impact felt most in the fourth by tallying 18 of the Celtics' 36 points in the frame. It was a season-high scoring output for Simons and his most in a game since dropping 40 points against the Spurs on Jan. 26, 2024, while playing for the Trail Blazers. The 2018 first-rounder has become more comfortable in his bench role as the season has progressed, and in eight games since Jan. 1, he has averaged 18.3 points, 3.6 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 4.1 threes over 26.6 minutes per game.

Simons racked up 16 points (7-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt), three rebounds and four assists across 24 minutes during Monday's 98-96 loss to Indiana.
Simons scored at least 15 points for the fifth time in the past six games, salvaging what was otherwise another empty night. While the scoring has been a little better, he has struggled to contribute elsewhere, averaging 3.5 assists with zero steals during that six-game span. At best, he should be viewed as a streamer for points and threes.

Celtics' Anfernee Simons: Strong play continues Friday
Simons finished Friday's 125-117 win over Toronto with 15 points (6-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt), five assists and two rebounds over 26 minutes.
Simons scored 11 of his 15 points in the second quarter and led the Celtics' bench in scoring. The eighth-year guard has struggled at times while adjusting to his bench role with Boston, but he's strung together some nice games of late. He has scored at least 15 points in five of his last six outings, and over that span he has averaged 17.7 points on 51.4 percent shooting (including 57.4 percent from three on 7.8 3PA/G), 3.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds over 26.1 minutes per contest.

Simons shot 0-for-3 from beyond the arc and went scoreless in the first half, though he torched the nets in the second. The 26-year-old guard scored all of his game-high 27 points in the final two quarters, during which he knocked down eight of his 11 three-point attempts. He recorded season highs in both points and three-pointers Monday and has now scored in double figures in five straight games. Over that stretch, Simons has averaged 17.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 24.6 minutes per tilt.

The five made three-pointers represented Simons' best performance from beyond the arc since Nov. 9, when he went 5-for-8 from long distance in Orlando.
