Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Iffy to face Indiana on Monday
Edwards is questionable for Monday's game against the Pacers due to a right thumb laceration.
The right thumb injury is a new concern for Edwards, who has missed only one game since the All-Star break. If the superstar is sidelined Monday, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jaylen Clark are candidates for increased roles. Edwards has yet to miss an outing in March, during which he has averaged 28.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.6 three-pointers and 1.1 steals across 34.8 minutes per game in 11 appearances.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Subpar display Friday
Edwards registered 17 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, five assists and two steals in 26 minutes during Friday's 134-93 victory over the Pelicans.
Edwards was bothered by an apparent thigh injury that forced him to exit the contest briefly, but overall, this wasn't the best performance for the superstar guard. However, this was the first time Edwards didn't reach the 25-point threshold since March 7, and the star scorer is simply too talented to struggle over a prolonged stretch. Fantasy managers shouldn't be worried by just one bad game for one of the most prolific scorers in The Association.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Returns to action
Edwards appeared to suffer a thigh injury during Friday's game but has returned to the floor, Chris Hine of the Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Edwards had a bit of an injury scare during Friday's game against the Pelicans but was able to return to the game. The superstar guard currently has 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 22 minutes on the floor for Minnesota.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Scores 29 despite shooting woes
Edwards closed Wednesday's 119-115 loss to New Orleans with 29 points (5-19 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 15-17 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 38 minutes.
Edwards finished with a loaded stat line, though his ability to get to the charity stripe was what saved him in this one -- he scored more than 50 percent of his total scoring haul with free throws while shooting nearly 25 percent from the floor. The Timberwolves won't be successful if Edwards continues to struggle from the floor, although this might have been a one-off situation. Over his last five outings, Edwards is making 44.1 percent of his shots from the floor.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Goes for 38 points in OT win
Edwards finished Monday's 132-130 overtime loss to Indiana with 38 points (9-24 FG, 1-11 3Pt, 19-20 FT), three rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals over 41 minutes.
Edwards is firmly entrenched as the Timberwolves' go-to option on offense, and even though he had a woeful showing from the efficient perspective, his offensive volume allowed him to surpass the 35-point mark for the 15th time this season. Edwards is averaging 29.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game since the beginning of March, and while there will be games in which he'll struggle from an efficiency standpoint, he has enough volume on a game-to-game basis so fantasy managers should continue to trust in him with the fantasy playoffs just around the corner.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Dominates Jazz with 41 points
Edwards contributed 41 points (16-27 FG, 5-14 3Pt, 4-6 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Sunday's 128-102 win over Utah.
It was fairly easy sledding Sunday for Edwards, who hit the 40-point plateau for the seventh time this season in just 31 minutes against a soft Jazz defense. The month of March has been more of the same for the All-Star guard, who has scored in bunches all year long. Edwards is averaging 28.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 4.0 three-pointers in 34.7 minutes over his last eight outings.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Hits for team-high 29 in win
Edwards finished Wednesday's 115-95 victory over Denver with a team-high 29 points (10-22 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal over 35 minutes.
While his shot volume has dropped a bit since Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert returned to the lineup, Edwards remains the linchpin of the Minnesota offense. He's drained multiple three-pointers in all six of his March appearances, averaging 26.3 points, 5.5 boards, 4.8 assists, 4.0 threes and 1.0 steals over that span while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 41.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Supplies game-high 25 in win
Edwards registered 25 points (10-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Sunday's 141-124 win over the Spurs.
While he didn't make his usual contribution in secondary categories, Edwards led all scorers on the night as Minnesota won its fifth straight game. The fifth-year guard has scored at least 25 points in three of five March contests, averaging 25.8 points, 5.8 boards, 4.6 assists, 3.8 threes and 1.0 steals to begin the month while shooting 51.3 percent from the floor and 41.3 percent from long range.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Posts double-double
Edwards registered 13 points (4-10 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 13 rebounds and six assists in 39 minutes during Friday's 106-104 win over the Heat.
Edwards didn't have his best outing Friday, and his 13-point output was his second-lowest scoring mark of the campaign, but the star forward still found a way to remain relevant in fantasy, mainly due to his threes and rebounds. The 13-rebound haul tied his best output of the campaign in that category. Still, most of Edwards' fantasy value is tied to what he can do as a scorer, and on that note, there's no question fantasy managers were disappointed with how this game turned out.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Flirts with 30 points as top scorer
Edwards put forth 29 points (9-20 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 5-8 FT), six rebounds, three rebounds, two steals and one block over 38 minutes in Wednesday's 125-110 win over Charlotte.
Edwards once again led the Timberwolves in Wednesday's contest, pacing all players in scoring and threes made while finishing second on the team in assists and with a team-high-tying pair of steals in a near 30-point showcase. Edwards has been hot from three over his last three outings, connecting on six threes in two of those three contests. Edwards also made history Wednesday, becoming the first player in NBA history to reach 250 threes in a season before the age of 25.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Modest showing Tuesday
Edwards finished Tuesday's 126-112 win over the 76ers with 18 points (5-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes.
The fifth-year guard left the game briefly in the first half to have his left thumb/wrist checked out. While he was able to return to the court before halftime, his lower-than-usual shot volume and production suggest he wasn't feeling 100 percent. Edwards also missed the last game of February with a calf issue. Nagging injuries may be catching up to him, as he's failed to score 20 points in three of his last four appearances. Edwards did erupt for 44 points in the fourth contest Sunday in Phoenix, however, and he remains a must-start in season-long formats unless his health concerns become more serious.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Returns Tuesday
Edwards (wrist/thumb) has returned to Tuesday's game against the 76ers with 9:03 remaining in the second quarter, Charlie Walton of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
Edwards briefly left the game due to an apparent left wrist/thumb injury that he sustained in the opening quarter. However, the superstar has since returned and will likely be able to handle his normal workload the rest of the way.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Leaves for locker room Tuesday
Edwards exited to the locker room after sustaining an apparent left wrist/thumb injury during the first quarter of Tuesday's game against the 76ers, Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic reports.
Edwards asked to be subbed out and immediately walked back to the locker room. The club will likely provide further details on the injury after the superstar has been evaluated, and while he's sidelined, Jaylen Clark and Donte DiVincenzo are candidates for a bump in minutes.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Erupts for 44 in Phoenix
Edwards ended Sunday's 116-98 victory over the Suns with 44 points (12-22 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 14-14 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 36 minutes.
It's the fourth time in 11 appearances since the beginning of February that Edwards has delivered 40-plus points, a stretch in which he's averaged 31.9 points, 7.3 boards, 5.0 assists, 4.2 threes and 1.3 steals. Sunday's performance came with Julius Randle back in the lineup, and Edwards' usage figures to decline a little as the veteran forward gets back up to game speed, although the fifth-year guard will remain the focal point of the Minnesota offense.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Good to go Sunday vs. Phoenix
Edwards (calf) is available to play against the Suns on Sunday, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports.
Edwards has been working through right calf soreness as of late, but the injury isn't severe enough to prevent him from playing Sunday. He finished the month of February averaging 30.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals over 36.2 minutes per game, though he shot 39.1 percent from the field over that span.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Questionable for Sunday
Edwards is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns due to right calf soreness.
Edwards has been playing through the minor calf injury, averaging 28.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 35.6 minutes per game over seven straight appearances before sitting out Friday's 117-116 loss in Utah due to a one-game suspension for accruing 16 total technicals this season. Julius Randle (groin) is also questionable and could make his first appearance since Jan. 30.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Ejected, earns one-game ban
Edwards amassed 18 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal in 26 minutes before getting ejected with 5:27 remaining in third quarter of Thursday's 111-102 loss after picking up his second technical foul of the game.
Edwards threw the ball in the stands as he exited the court following his second technical. If the two technicals are upheld, Edwards will have accrued 16 total technicals for the season, triggering an automatic one-game suspension that would prevent him from playing Friday in Utah. Edwards is expected to be back in Minnesota's starting lineup for the final game of their road trip Sunday in Phoenix.
