  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Plays well in limited run

Spencer closed with 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), one rebound and two assists across 16 minutes during Thursday's 118-111 loss to the Cavaliers. Although Spencer made the most of his limited run Thursday, his window for fantasy appeal in deeper formats may be closing -- Stephen Curry (knee) is targeting a return Sunday against Houston. Spencer has averaged 9.5 points, 3.9 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 22.4 minutes over his last eight games.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Productive off bench

Spencer totaled 18 points (8-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three assists and one steal in 26 minutes during Saturday's 126-110 loss to Atlanta. Spencer gave the Warriors as spark off the bench, leading the reserves in points while finishing as the team's third-leading scorer behind De'Anthony Melton (20 points) and Nate Williams (19 points). Spencer has been a steady contributor for the Warriors this season, even more so as of late due to the absence of Stephen Curry (knee). Spencer has scored in double digits in three of his last four games and has averaged 12.0 points, 2.8 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 threes over 22.5 minutes in that span.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Fares well off bench

Spencer registered 10 points (3-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal over 22 minutes during Monday's 125-117 win over Washington. This was a decent showing for Spencer, but he remains a low-end fantasy asset despite the absence of Stephen Curry (knee). Over his last seven games, Spencer is averaging 8.6 points, 3.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.1 three-pointers in 21.1 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Productive off bench Tuesday

Spencer registered 17 points (7-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 130-124 overtime loss to the Bulls. Spencer posted his best scoring performance since Feb. 9, when he also scored 17 points in a win over the Grizzlies. However, it's hard to trust Spencer in fantasy right now. Aside from playing regularly off the bench, with just one start in his last seven outings, he's averaging 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game since the All-Star break. Those numbers aren't attractive outside of the very deep formats, and even in that scenario, he'd be worth adding merely as a streaming option until Stephen Curry (knee) is cleared to return.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Not starting Monday

Spencer is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Jazz, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Spencer started Sunday's contest with De'Anthony Melton sidelined due to a knee injury but will return to a reserve role Monday. In 35 games off the bench this season, Spencer is averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per contest, though he has logged 20-plus minutes in 11 of his past 13 appearances.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Starting Saturday

Spencer will start Saturday's game against the Thunder. With De'Anthony Melton (knee) unavailable, Spencer will get the starting nod in Oklahoma City. As a starter this season (11 games), the 29-year-old guard has averaged 11.4 points, 5.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 28.2 minutes per game.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Playing steady minutes

Spencer posted nine points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and five assists across 21 minutes during Monday's 114-101 loss to the Clippers. Spencer should be able to hang onto a meaningful role until the Warriors finally clear Stephen Curry (knee) to return. Over his past five appearances, Spencer has still averaged just 6.4 points, 5.4 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 24.4 minutes per game.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Near double-double off bench

Spencer totaled 12 points (5-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 133-112 victory over Memphis. Spencer was moved to the Warriors' bench after struggling in his most recent starts, and the move appeared to pay off as he finished one assist shy from recording his second double-double of the season. It's unclear whether his shift to the bench is permanent, but Wednesday's performance shows that the third-year pro can be productive in whatever role he's in, at least for as long as Stephen Curry (knee) is sidelined.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Coming off bench Wednesday

Spencer is not in the Warriors' starting lineup against the Grizzlies on Wednesday. Spencer has started in each of the Warriors' last seven games, though he has failed to score double-digit points over his last four outings and has connected on just 32.1 percent of his field-goal attempts in that span. With Spencer coming off the bench, Golden State will roll with a starting five of Brandin Podziemski, Will Richard, Moses Moody, Gui Santos and Al Horford on Wednesday.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Solid numbers in win

Spencer registered 17 points (8-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 32 minutes during Monday's 114-113 win over the Grizzlies. Spencer tallied double-digit points for the fourth straight game, continuing to thrive in the absence of Stephen Curry (knee). During that span, he has averaged 16.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 3.0 three-pointers. Curry has been ruled out through the All-Star break, meaning Spencer should be rostered in all leagues until Curry is cleared to get back on the floor.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Signs standard contract

The Warriors converted Spencer's two-way deal to a standard NBA contract Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Spencer has emerged as a key piece of the Warriors rotation this season and is coming off a career-best performance in the team's win over the Suns on Thursday, when he recorded 20 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 32 minutes. He's already been active for the maximum 50 games allotted to two-way players, but now that he's playing under a standard contract, he will be eligible to play in Saturday's contest against the Lakers. With Stephen Curry (knee) set to miss Saturday's contest, expect Spencer to start at point guard and play hefty minutes under his new deal.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Scores career-high 20 in spot start

Spencer recorded 20 points (6-11 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 32 minutes during Thursday's 101-97 victory over the Suns. With Stephen Curry (knee) unavailable, Spencer moved into the starting five and not only led the Warriors in scoring, but he also produced a career high in points. The third-year guard has seen significant court time in three of the last five games (two starts) while Curry's been sidelined, averaging 14.3 points, 5.0 boards, 4.3 assists, 3.7 three-pointers and 1.3 steals in 30.7 minutes in those outings, but he played a total of only 12 minutes in the other two contests. Spencer is signed to a two-way deal for the Warriors, and because he's now been active for the maximum 50 games at the NBA level this season, Golden State will need to convert him to a standard contract in order for him to be eligible to play again in 2025-26.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Back in rotation Monday

Spencer supplied four points (2-4 FG), one rebound, four assists and one steal across 10 minutes during Monday's 120-107 win over the Nets. Spencer logged his first minutes since prior to Christmas, having sat out the previous two games. While he was able to flirt with standard league value earlier in the month, with the Warriors now fielding a healthy roster, there are simply too many mouths to feed. Spencer will continue to battle players like De'Anthony Melton, Will Richard, Brandin Podziemski, Buddy Hield and Gary Payton for backup guard minutes, making him a non-factor outside of deeper leagues.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Limited again Saturday

Spencer ended with four points (1-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 10 minutes during Saturday's 119-116 win over Phoenix. Spencer returned from a one-game absence due to personal reasons, logging just 10 minutes. Despite some promising performances thus far this season, Spencer is simply another in a long line of guards that head coach Steve Kerr has to choose from. His role is worth keeping an eye on, but until we get some clarity regarding the nightly rotation, Spencer can be avoied in all standard formats.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Not listed on injury report

Spencer (personal) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday's game versus the Suns. Spencer will be back in action Saturday following a one-game stint on the inactive list, and he should return to his usual role in the second unit. Spencer is averaging 7.4 points and 3.2 assists per game this season.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Out for personal reasons

Spencer won't play in Thursday's game against the Suns for personal reasons, per Danny Emerman of SFStandard.com. Spencer's next chance to rejoin the team arrives during Saturday's rematch against Phoenix. With the 29-year-old out of action, more playing time will be available for Moses Moody and Buddy Hield in the backcourt.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Headed to bench

Spencer will come off the bench for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports. After a couple of strong performances, it's safe to assume Spencer will be in and out of the Warriors' starting lineup throughout the season, depending on matchups and who is available. However, his upside is limited in the reserve role. As a member of the second unit this season, Spencer owns averages of 6.3 points and 2.8 assists per game.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Starting against Cleveland

Spencer will start against the Cavaliers on Saturday, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports. The Warriors are without several key players Saturday and need a spark. Spencer has been terrific of late, and he produced 16 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 24 minutes during Thursday's 99-98 loss to the 76ers.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Fares well in blowout

Spencer supplied 12 points (3-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 12 minutes during Tuesday's 126-102 loss to the Thunder. Spencer isn't always a consistent part of the rotation for Golden State, but he stepped up in garbage time for a season-high 12 points. He's safe to ignore in most formats until he strings a few more games like these together.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Could see more time against Kings

Spencer chipped in seven points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and two steals over 11 minutes during Tuesday's 118-107 victory over Phoenix. Stephen Curry (illness) and Jimmy Butler (back) are unlikely to play against the Kings, and coach Steve Kerr gave Spencer some time on the floor in anticipation of a larger role against the Kings. Over three seasons with the Warriors, the perennial backup's impact has been negligible.
