Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Struggles in loss
Spencer supplied two points (1-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists over 24 minutes during Monday's 114-113 loss to the Warriors.
Spencer matched his season low with two points, continuing to play off the bench behind Ty Jerome. Despite what has been a breakout campaign, Spencer's long-term fantasy value remains somewhat of a mystery. He now has plenty of competition for playing time, having to deal with the likes of Jerome, Scottie Pippen, Walter Clayton (calf) and eventually, Ja Morant (elbow). Spencer remains a soft hold in standard formats, although it wouldn't be surprising to see him let go in a few spots, given the uncertainty.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Available for Monday
Spencer (ankle) is available for Monday's game against the Warriors.
Spencer missed Saturday's game due to a right ankle injury, but he will return to the lineup Monday. Over his last five games, he holds averages of 15.0 points, 4.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per contest.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Downgraded to out
Spencer (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Portland, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Spencer will miss the tail end of the Grizzlies' back-to-back set due to a sore right ankle. The 25-year-old's absence could mean more opportunities for Walter Clayton, Jahmai Mashack or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Spencer's next chance to play will come Monday at Golden State.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Questionable to play Saturday
Spencer (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Spencer is dealing with right ankle soreness and is in jeopardy of missing the second leg of this back-to-back set. If the 25-year-old guard isn't cleared to suit up, Walter Clayton, Jahmai Mashack and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would likely see increased playing time, especially if Cedric Coward (shoulder) and Jaylen Wells (shoulder) are downgraded from doubtful to out.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Pops for team-high 18 in loss
Spencer amassed 18 points (7-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, one block and two steals across 26 minutes off the bench during Friday's 135-115 loss to the Trail Blazers.
The second-year guard led Memphis in scoring on the night, coming off the bench for a fourth straight game. The team's backcourt is getting crowded even with Ja Morant (elbow) still sidelined, as Ty Jerome (calf) made his season debut Jan. 31 and Scotty Pippen (toe) followed Friday, and the Grizzlies seem more comfortable having Spencer in the second unit. Over the last three games in that role, he's averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 assists, 2.7 threes and 2.3 boards in 26.0 minutes.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Not starting Saturday
Spencer won't start against the Timberwolves on Saturday.
With Ty Jerome (calf) entering the starting five in his regular-season debut, Spencer will slide to the second unit. In 31 appearances off the bench so far this season, the sharpshooter has averaged 11.9 points, 4.1 assists, 2.4 three-pointers and 2.1 rebounds while shooting 50.7 percent from downtown in 21.5 minutes per game.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Nets 16 points on seven shots
Spencer contributed 16 points (6-7 FG, 4-4 3Pt), one rebound and three assists over 24 minutes during Friday's 114-106 loss to the Pelicans.
Spencer was uber-efficient Friday evening, with his first, and only miss, not coming until midway through the fourth quarter. The sophomore guard has been heating up over the past four games, churning out top-80 value behind averages of 11.5 points, 8.3 assists and 2.0 triples per contest.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Hands out 13 assists
Spencer finished with five points (1-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, 13 assists, one block and one steal in 27 minutes during Monday's 108-99 loss to the Rockets.
Spencer matched his season-best mark of 13 assists, a figure he's reached three times this campaign. This wasn't Spencer's best night shooting the ball, but he looks poised to have some solid fantasy appeal in the absence of Ja Morant (elbow). Across 12 starts this season, Spencer holds averages of 11.7 points, 9.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 three-pointers in 30.3 minutes per contest.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Drops 11 dimes in loss
Spencer notched 21 points (7-9 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 11 assists, five rebounds and one block across 28 minutes during Friday's 133-127 loss to the Pelicans.
Spencer was highly efficient and effective Friday despite the loss, logging his fourth double-double of the season and his first in which he topped 20 points. The 25-year-old may not be locked in as an everyday starter when Ja Morant (elbow) is healthy, but Spencer regularly makes an impact whenever called upon this year.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Starting sans Morant
Spencer will start Friday's game against the Pelicans.
With Ja Morant (elbow) unavailable, Spencer will get the starting nod against New Orleans. As a starter this month (six games), the 25-year-old guard has averaged 11.0 points, 9.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 29.7 minutes per tilt.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Reverting to bench Sunday
Spencer is not in the Grizzlies' starting lineup against the Magic on Sunday, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
Ja Morant (calf) has been cleared to return from a six-game absence and will start Sunday, but Spencer should still see a healthy amount of playing time off the bench due to the former operating on a minutes restriction. Spencer started each of the Grizzlies' last six games, and over that span he averaged 11.0 points, 9.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 threes over 29.7 minutes per game.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Double-double against Brooklyn
Spencer logged 12 points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds and 13 assists in 30 minutes during Sunday's 103-98 victory over the Nets.
Making his fifth straight start in place of Ja Morant (calf), Spencer delivered his third double-double of the season. The second-year guard is taking advantage of his latest opportunity in the starting five, averaging 11.8 points, 9.2 assists, 4.2 boards, 1.8 threes and 0.8 steals over 30.2 minutes, and with trade rumors circling around Morant, Spencer's role could become more secure in the near future.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Nails game-winner Tuesday
Spencer recorded 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 106-105 win over San Antonio.
Spencer capped off a strong performance, connecting on a baseline mid-range jumper with only seconds remaining, sealing what was an impressive victory. With Ja Morant (calf) sidelined yet again, Spencer is suddenly back on the standard league radar. He should be rostered everywhere, at least until Morant has strung together multiple games.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Starting sans Morant
Spencer will start against the Lakers on Sunday, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
With Ja Morant (calf) unavailable, Spencer will get the starting nod for the fifth time on the campaign. As a member of the starting five this season, the sharpshooter has averaged 12.0 points, 9.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 32.5 minutes per contest.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Quiet in loss Tuesday
Spencer racked up seven points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and five assists in 19 minutes during Tuesday's 139-136 overtime loss to the 76ers.
Spencer scored in single digits for the second straight game, a worrying trend for anyone still rostering him. With Ja Morant now healthy and playing his best basketball of the season, it appears that Spencer's role could be declining. With that said, Morant's next injury could be just around the corner, giving Spencer a slightly longer shelf-life. He remains a soft hold, specifically for managers needing assists and threes.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Reverting to bench Friday
Spencer won't start against the Bucks on Friday.
With Ja Morant (ankle) returning from a four-game absence, Spencer will slide to the second unit. The second-year sharpshooter is still expected to see significant minutes Friday, and he has averaged 19.4 points, 5.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 27.6 minutes per game over his last five appearances off the bench.

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Double-double in Utah
Spencer ended with 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and 13 assists across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 137-128 victory over the Jazz.
The double-double was the second of the season for Spencer, and it came just two games after he recorded the first one. The second-year guard has started all three of those contests while Ja Morant (ankle) has been back on the shelf, but Spencer has been productive regardless of his role this season. He has scored in double digits in 13 straight games dating back to Nov. 22, averaging 16.4 points, 6.5 assists, 3.4 threes, 2.8 boards and 0.8 steals in 27.7 minutes over that stretch while shooting a blistering 57.0 percent from the floor, 95.8 percent from the charity stripe and 57.1 percent from beyond the arc.
