"This fills a need, and he will add speed to a unit that needs it."
Instant analysis
By picking Jarrad Davis, the Lions just got faster on defense. In his last two seasons at Florida, Davis totaled 79 solo tackles, 17 tackles for a loss, and 5.5 sacks. Despite his speed, questions remain. He's undersized at 6-foot-1 and 238 pounds, and he's had his fair share of injury issues. Essentially, his durability is a huge question mark.
Fantasy impact
"The Lions needed a linebacker badly, and Davis could be an impact player right away. The Lions DST was only No. 24 in standard leagues last year, and Davis could help them improve this season. The Lions DST isn't worth drafting in most formats, but they could be a waiver-wire addition during the year." -- Jamey Eisenberg.
