WR -- DeVier Posey vs. Lestar Jean vs. Keshawn Martin. For the Texans at wide receiver, it is Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter then a lot of inexperience. Posey is a third-round pick who missed a lot of his senior season at Ohio State due to off-field problems. Lestar Jean was an undrafted free agent last year out of Florida Atlantic. He was injured all last year, but he has impressed in OTAs. Jean might be the favorite to take the third wide receiver spot. Martin is a fourth-round pick out of Michigan State. At 5-11, 194 pounds, Martin could find a place in the slot. The Texans are also bringing in Roy Williams and Bryant Johnson for a tryout on Thursday. Some veteran help could make Houston feel a little better about the situation. Posey, Jean, and Martin have combined for 0 receptions in the NFL.

RG -- Antoine Caldwell vs. Brandon Brooks. Antoine Caldwell will try to replace Mike Briesel who is now with the Raiders. Caldwell has played in 28 games, starting 13, in his first three years in Houston. He has been in the system and has gotten a decent amount of game experience. While Caldwell is certainly the favorite to fill one half of the void left on the right side of the offensive line, rookie Brandon Brooks out of Miami (Ohio) could give him some competition. Brooks is a massive 6-5, 346 pounds but has good feet. He started 41 of his 45 games in college and was an honorable mention All-American during his senior season.                                                                   

RT -- Rashad Butler vs. Derek Newton. Butler is entering his sixth year with the Texans and will try to replace Eric Winston, who the Texans parted ways with this offseason. Winston had started 87 consecutive games for the Texans since 2006 and replacing him will be no easy task. Butler has started just four games in his first six years, all coming at left tackle in 2010 when filling in for Duane Brown. However, like Caldwell, Butler has been in the system and does have game experience. Derek Newton was a seventh-round selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, and he appeared in 14 games during his rookie year. Don’t be surprised if Newton gives Butler a run for that starting right tackle spot.
