The 49ers entered Week 4 against the Rams Thursday with a number of injury concerns on the defensive side of the ball. Fortunately, the majority of their wounded players were able to take the field for the game.
Defensive backs Raymond Ventrone (concussion) and Carlos Rogers (knee), defensive linemen Ray McDonald (ankle) and Justin Smith (shoulder) and linebacker NaVorro Bowman (wrist) were all active for the game despite their injuries.
The team is missing key contributors in the form of defensive back Nnamdi Asomugha (knee) and linebacker Patrick Willis (groin), however.
