Entering Sunday's game against the Titans, Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri had made all 28 of his field goal attempts this season. If he would have remained perfect Sunday, he would have become only the fourth kicker in NFL history to accomplish that feat.
Instead, after making a field goal earlier in the game, he missed a 46-yard attempt in the third quarter. That leaves Minnesota's Gary Anderson in 1998, St. Louis' Jeff Wilkins in 2000 and Indianapolis' Mike Vanderjagt in 2003 as the only kickers to make all of their field goals in a season.

Making matters worse for Vinatieri. Sunday also is his 42nd birthday.
