CB Nnamdi Asomugha said that defensive coordinator Juan Castillo has done a good job reworking defensive schemes. “He’s eliminated a lot of things that didn’t work last year that we thought might work and tried,’’ Asomugha said. “It’s made it more comfortable for me and all the guys who were here last year for the first time. It’s smart to eliminate what’s not working and build on things that work.”
