CBs Ron Bartell and Shawntae Spencer, a pair of free-agent additions, have a lot in common, including their birthday. They were both born on Feb. 2, 1982, and turned 30 this year. Both were second-round draft picks, Spencer in 2004 (49ers) and Bartell in 2005 (Rams). Both are adjusting to life with a new team for the first time in their NFL careers. What’s more, they have a long list of mutual friends in the league. “So we hit it off right away,” Spencer said.
