The Chicago Bears will be without CB Sherrick McManis due to a hip injury and backup WR Alshon Jeffery because of a hand injury Monday night against the Detroit Lions.
McManis is a valuable special-teams player and will be replaced by Zack Bowman, the former Bear who had been among the team's special teams tackle leaders last year and then was not re-signed in free agency. He went to Minnesota, was cut before the season and was "on the street" without a team before signing this week with Chicago.
Jeffery had been ruled out early in the week due to the hand fracture suffered against Jacksonville on Oct. 7. He was expected to miss four to six weeks with the injury. WR Earl Bennett is returning from a hand injury and will get snaps in place of Jeffery against the Lions.
