Forte isn’t expected to be out long with his latest ankle injury. (US Presswire) |
In the third quarter of Sunday’s win vs. the Vikings, the Bears suffered a potentially-bad blow when running back Matt Forte hopped out of the game after suffering an ankle injury.
But the good news for Chicago, as reported by CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, is that Forte’s long-term health does not appear to be threatened. La Canfora, however, also points out that Forte’s ankle could keep him out of Week 13.
In 10 games this season, Forte has gained 683 yards (a 4.3 yards per carry average) to go with 27 receptions and three rushing touchdowns. If he’s not available to play Sunday against Seattle at Soldier Field, look for Michael Bush to take the majority of carries with Armando Allen getting some work as well.
