Bears vs. Vikings: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Bears vs. Vikings football game
The Vikings and the Bears are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2018, but likely not for long. The Minnesota Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Chicago Bears at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday at Soldier Field. Despite being away, the Vikings are looking at a 2.5-point advantage in the spread.
Minnesota's 13-4 record from last season has become a distant memory after another unsuccessful outing. They fell 27-20 to the Chiefs on Sunday. The match was a 13-13 toss-up at halftime, but Minnesota was outscored by the Chiefs in the second.
The Vikings' loss came about despite a quality game from Kirk Cousins, who threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Chicago finally caught a break after 14 consecutive losses dating back to last season. They put the hurt on the Commanders with a sharp 40-20 win on Thursday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-3.
DJ Moore and Justin Fields were among the main playmakers for the Bears as the former picked up 230 receiving yards and three touchdowns and the latter threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns. That's the first time this season that Moore hauled in two or more receiving touchdowns. While his performance might not make the highlight reel, Cairo Santos loomed large in the final result, having booted in four field goals and four extra points.
With Minnesota's defeat and Chicago's win, both teams now sport identical 1-4 records.
The Bears are hoping to beat the odds on Sunday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. This contest will be their fifth straight as the underdogs (so far over this stretch they are 1-3 against the spread).
Minnesota steamrolled past Chicago in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 29-13. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Bears have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
