With 103 rushing yards in Buffalo’s in Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, C.J. Spiller topped the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career with 1,047 yards. He reached that mark in historic fashion; Spiller hit 1,000 yards on his 154th carry of the season, making him the second-fastest RB to 1,000 yards in NFL history (behind only Beattie Feathers in 1934).

He’s not celebrating yet, however.

Given the nature of the 50-17 blowout defeat to the Seahawks, Spiller will wait until January to reflect on his personal accomplishments this season.

“It’d feel better if we would’ve got the win yesterday,” Spiller said. “To be honest, it hasn’t really sunk in that I’ve done it. I probably won’t do that until after the season.”

Spiller was one of the few bright spots in the loss in Toronto. He topped the 100-yard mark on 17 carries and had a 14-yard touchdown when the game was still close. But the Bills were unable to keep him involved once it got out of hand -- which has been a recurring theme for the team this season.

“I thought he ran the ball well,” coach Chan Gailey said. “He did some really good things. We couldn’t get him any screen passes. We couldn’t get him the ball in the open field like we wanted to. He made some things happen. Then we got so far behind we just couldn’t stick with the running game the way we wanted to.”

No major lineup changes on horizon: The Bills hit rock bottom yet again in the loss to the Seahawks, but it doesn’t sound they will make any major lineup changes for the final two games of the season. Asked if he would tinker with the lineup with the Bills mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, Gailey replied: “The focus is to win. We’re going to put the players on the field that help us win games.

That’s the responsibility of an organization and for me in particular is to win games.”

Wood has a chance: The Bills have missed C Eric Wood (knee) on the offensive line the past two weeks but Wood has a chance of returning for Week 16 against Miami. “Has a shot,” Gailey said. “He’s not going to practice Wednesday but it looks like he may try to get out there Thursday.” With Wood out, rookie David Snow has stepped in at center.

Moats’ season over: LB Arthur Moats is out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury, Gailey said. The backup LB and special teamer was carted off the field in the loss to the Seahawks.

Easley out this week: WR Marcus Easley will miss this weekend’s game with a hamstring injury but has a chance of returning for Buffalo’s season finale. “He’ll definitely be out this week and we’ll see if we can get him back for the last game or not,” Gailey said. “We’ll have to wait and see.”
