The Bills continue to slowly work their injured players back into the lineup as they move forward into the second week of training camp.
“We’re trying to be smart and be patient -- that’s not one of the things that a coach has a lot of normally,” coach Chan Gailey said. “But we’re going to be patient with those guys that are injured and bring them back slowly.”
Who’s here: The entire roster is at St. John Fisher for camp, though several players have already missed time due to injuries. The most notable performers to date include free-agent additions Mario Williams and Mark Anderson -- who are both defensive ends -- and two rookies: CB Stephon Gilmore and WR T.J. Graham.
Who’s not: Center Eric Wood continues to make progress as he makes his way back from a torn ACL. He received a handful of team reps for the first time on Tuesday, though he remains very limited. Right tackle Erik Pears (groin) returned to the practice field on Tuesday but did not do any team work. Cornerback Terrence McGee (knee) remains limited and is still a ways from returning on a full-time basis. Wide receiver David Nelson (knee), running back Johnny White (undisclosed), cornerback Justin Rogers (hamstring) and safety Josh Nesbitt (undisclosed) did not practice at Tuesday’s session.
