Bills cornerback Ron Brooks was carted off the field in the Buffalo-Detroit game when he was upended on a Lions punt return and landed directly on his head. He's been taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
After Detriot's Jeremy Ross caught the punt, he took off toward the right sideline, and while Lions safety Jerome Couplin was engaged in a block, he went to the turf and upended Brooks.
As you can see below.
The game was stopped for about 10 minutes as trainers attended to Brooks, who's started all four games this season. As he was being carted off, Brooks did show signs of movement, though, and gave a thumbs-up before he was wheeled underneath the stands.
