A pair of potentially emotional reunions highlight the Broncos' 2013 regular-season slate, as QB Peyton Manning will play his first game in Indianapolis since being released in February, while the Broncos' winningest coach, Mike Shanahan, will return with his Redskins to Denver, where he still owns a home.
The Broncos draw the NFC East for their interconference slate and the AFC South in intraconference, interdivisional play. The Broncos will also visit two stadiums for the first time in regular-season play: the Giants' MetLife Stadium and Dallas' Cowboys Stadium.
The road slate is demanding from a competitive standpoint. The only losing teams from 2012 the Broncos face on the road are their divisional foes, and they are 15-23 all-time at their inter-divisional opponents. However, it's not daunting from a travel perspective; the Broncos will travel 1,982 fewer miles for their 2013 road trips than they did last year. They had five round trips of more than 2,000 miles in 2012; there are just two (New York and New England) in 2013.
