If the Bucs fail to agree on a new contract with projected free-agent K Connor Barth by 4 p.m. Monday, the team is prepared to put the franchise tag on him, GM Mark Dominik told the Tampa Tribune. Barth, 25, made $1.835 million last year, but would be guaranteed $2.6 million with the franchise tag.
