Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis missed his first kick of his career in Week 5 against the Ravens, and it came at a bad time in a 26-23 loss.

Sturgis, who opened his career making 10 straight field-goal attempts, missed a game-tying attempt at the end of the fourth quarter from 57 yards. He had the distance on the kick, but missed wide left.

Sturgis was solid otherwise, connecting from 37, 25 and 48 yards out and adding two extra-point attempts to finish with 11 points.

Sturgis is 10 for 11 on the season on field goals and 12 for 12 on extra points. He heads into the bye week averaging more than eight points per game.
