The Seattle Seahawks lost to the Arizona Cardinals in the teams' previous meeting last November, but they didn't allow Arizona the same satisfaction this time around. The Seahawks walked away with a 38-30 victory on Sunday.
Seattle's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 17 first-half points. Arizona wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 17-10 heading into the break. The offense for Seattle continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points to put the game away.
RB Rashaad Penny had a stellar game for Seattle as he rushed for one TD and 190 yards on 23 carries. That touchdown -- a 62-yard rush in the fourth quarter -- was one of the highlights of the game. QB Russell Wilson had a good game, too, finishing with four touchdowns.
The Seahawks' defense was a presence as well, as it got past the Cardinals' offensive line to sack QB Kyler Murray five times for a total loss of 53 yards. The heavy lifting was done by DE Carlos Dunlap and DT Poona Ford, who each racked up two sacks.
The losing side was boosted by RB James Conner, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD.
Seattle's win brought them up to 7-10. Now 11-6, Arizona has officially clinched a playoff berth. With that, the NFC West playoffs come to an end.
