The addition of Jared Veldheer and the return of left guard Jonathan Cooper should make life easier for the Cardinals when they game plan versus opponents this season. Offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin admits that the right side of the line will involve a competition but overall he anticipates a huge jump in efficiency for the front five.
" ... [T]he world knows we're looking to put the right side together. There is going to be great competition between Paul Fanaika and Ted Larsen and Earl (Watford)," Goodwin told the Arizona Republic. "Then you have Bobby (Massie), Bradley (Sowell) and along with Nate (Potter). The competition is going to be great and there is still the possibility of the draft, but who knows? It wasn't a great offensive line year last year, but the guys played consistently together and they got better as they went along."
