CB Jonte Green’s performance during drills improved during the second day of rookie minicamp. Green looked somewhat lost in the pace of Friday’s practice, but he rebounded Saturday to cover receivers well. Green’s speed will be his greatest asset. He didn’t allow receivers to generate space during coverage drills, and has good field awareness. If Green can adjust to the pace of practice when Detroit’s rookies join veteran players in workouts, he could provide the DB depth Detroit lacked in 2011.
