CB Chris Greenwood made the most of his reps during Detroit’s rookie mini-camp, allaying fears that the talent he showed playing small-college football wouldn’t translate to an NFL environment. He intercepted a pass Saturday, and had several nice breakups during Sunday’s workout. Greenwood’s size and fluid motion allows him to cover ground quickly, something Detroit’s secondary lacked in 2011. If he’s able to adjust to game speed when he competes against Detroit’s veterans in upcoming practices, Greenwood could play a key role in the training camp DB competition.
