Chargers LT Jared Gaither and second string QB Charlie Whitehurst cut practice short Thursday night.
Gaither, a projected starter, was carted off of the field after trainers applied ice to his back. An injury report was not released, but his soreness was described as a “full body cramp,” according to the San Diego-Union Tribune.
Whitehurst was hit during 11 on 11 drills and walked off the field under his own power. He observed the rest of the practice from the sidelines after his left knee was wrapped.
