Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie seemed ready to go earlier this week, but confidence has been waning in recent days. The team has officially announced that Collie is questionable for Sunday's opener in Chicago.
For his part, Collie said that he was day-to-day and that he would rely on the opinion of team doctors. Head coach Chuck Pagano said Friday that the team would err on the side of caution with Collie, who has suffered three concussions in the last two years. Pagano also said that Collie's status will likely be a game time decision.
As of now, Collie's status is still up in the air, but the progression of "full go" to day-to-day seemingly indicates that Collie will not play Sunday. Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star believes, too, that Collie will sit out the opener.
Other injuries: Offensive guard Joe Reitz is out (knee), and will be replaced by Seth Olsen, who had a less than stellar preseason game against the Washington Redskins. Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) and running back Delone Carter (chest) are both questionable, as well. Hilton was limited again in practice, while Carter was able to go full speed.
