Friday was the last day of training camp in Anderson, Ind., as the Colts will return to Indianapolis.
LB Fugger on overcoming obstacles: Tim Fugger, a rookie from Vanderbilt, lost his father as a sophomore in high school, so the pressure of trying to make an NFL roster doesn't faze him. "Every new challenge I face now seems to be easier and easier," Fugger told the Indianapolis Star. "I guess that's part of my life. High school was the most challenging part of my life so far."
Austin Collie, old man: Not exactly. On the Colts, Collie -- a fourth-year player -- is looked upon as an elder statesman. “It (camp) is fun. It is a different responsibility now that I’m one of the oldest guys in the group,” Collie told Colts.com. “It was a bit different when I was the youngest. I went from the youngest to the oldest in the matter of one season."
WRs battling: Rookie T.Y. Hilton has made a splash at camp, and he discussed how the competition between receivers has made each of them better, thus making for a better unit. “We're all pushing each other right now,” Hilton told the Fort Wayne News Sentinel. “You can see how we're playing and performing right now. We're all just going with the flow.” This quote came after offensive coordinator Bruce Arians accused the unit of "fiddle-farting" around during practice.
Another guess at the roster: I gave my shot Wednesday, now Brad Wells of Stampede Blue is giving his best guess for the 53-man roster. Much more should be sorted out following Sunday night's game with the Pittsburgh Steelers, as plenty of movement is still expected.
