Colts vs. Buccaneers updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colts vs. Buccaneers football game
3rd Quarter Report
A win for the Colts would push their record over .500, and after three quarters of play they've put themselves in a good position to make it happen. Sitting on a score of 20-10, they have looked like the better team, but there's still one more quarter to play. Their offense has been firing on all cylinders thus far, outscoring their total from two weeks ago with time still left to play.
If the Colts keep playing like this, they'll bump their record up to 6-5 in no time. On the other hand, the Buccaneers will have to make due with a 4-7 record unless they turn things around (and fast).
Preview
The Colts have been on the road for two straight, but on Sunday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. The Colts will be strutting in after a victory while the Buccaneers will be stumbling in from a loss.
Indianapolis was not the first on the board last Sunday, but they got there more often. They snuck past the Patriots with a 10-6 win.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to the Colts' defense and their five sacks. Dayo Odeyingbo was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks himself.
Meanwhile, it looks like Tampa Bay got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the 49ers on Sunday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tampa Bay in their matchups with San Francisco: they've now lost three in a row.
The Buccaneers were plagued by a slow offense and finished the game with only 4.3 yards per play. They were smoked by their opponents in that department as the 49ers advanced 7.1.
The victory got Indianapolis back to even at 5-5. As for Tampa Bay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
While only the Colts took care of their fans the last time they played, both teams pleased bettors by covering the spread. Looking forward, the Colts are the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 2.5 points. The Buccaneers might be worth a quick bet since they're sitting on a five game streak of covering the spread when playing on the road.
