Colts vs. Jets: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colts vs. Jets football game
Game Recap
After losing to the New York Jets the last time they met, the Indianapolis Colts decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Indianapolis took their game against New York on Sunday by a conclusive 36-7 score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Colts had established a 31-7 advantage.
No one had a standout game offensively for Indianapolis, but they got scores from a handful of players including TE Mo Alie-Cox, QB Philip Rivers, and CB Xavier Rhodes. Rivers ended up with a passer rating of 125.60. Indianapolis' CB T.J. Carrie got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the third quarter into a touchdown.
Like Indianapolis, New York didn't have any clear offensive standouts, but they got one touchdown from WR Braxton Berrios.
The victory makes it two in a row for the Colts and bumps their record up to 2-1. The Jets still haven't won a contest and fell to 0-3.
Indianapolis will square off against the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at Soldier Field. The neutral point spread forecasts a close one for these two. New York will look to defend their home turf on Thursday against the Denver Broncos at 8:20 p.m. ET. Denver also experienced difficulties finding the end zone in their matchup this week, so look for the defenses to decide this one.
