The Cowboys decided to keep four running backs active for Sunday's game in Baltimore, and they're probably happy they did. Starter DeMarco Murray, who rushed for 90 yards in the first half, suffered a sprained left foot before halftime and is now out of the lineup.
Murray did get one carry in the third quarter but was immediately replaced by Felix Jones, who has also had a nice rushing game -- as of the third quarter, 15 carries for 83 yards and a 21-yard touchdown run, his first since the 2011 season opener. Jones left for the locker room in the third quarter with cramps.
The Cowboys also kept Phillip Tanner and rookie Lance Dunbar active. Tanner received three carries in the third quarter.
The Cowboys have been struggling in the running game this season after Murray’s 131-yard performance in the season opener. Since that game, Murray went for a total of 108 yards in the next three games but had it rolling against the Ravens before his injury.
