Not breaking news: the Jets and Patriots don't get along. Just in case you needed further proof of this, though, Darrelle Revis is here to save the day, ripping Bill Belichick for being "disrespectful" and "ignorant" and tossing a few shots at Tom Brady as well.

On the bright side, however, Revis said he was "cool" with his current contract status ... for now. Per the New Jersey Star-Ledger, Revis threw out "whatever happens happens" and "I can't predict the future" which means this probably isn't settled.

We can deal with that later. More importantly, with the Jets and Patriots scheduled to play on Thanksgiving -- right around the corner! -- let's discuss what he thinks about Belichick. Or, more specifically, some NSFW comments the Hoodie made after the Pats hung 37 points on Rex Ryan's crew back in November.

"Sometimes things are disrespectful when you say certain comments about the Jets, some stuff is disrespectful, it's okay to have a rivalry, it's okay to compete but when it gets personal, that's when it gets disrespectful," Revis said of Belichick. "I didn't start this battle, you know, the smart remarks he says it's ignorant, it's ignorant to this organization."

Asked specifically about why he was cheesed over something Belichick said, Revis referenced the "37 points on the best defense in the league, suck my [bleep]" comment that Belichick reportedly dropped last year.

"The one talking about the best defense, they can suck my ... all that stuff, that's ignorant, why go there?" Revis said. "You won, fair and square, hey we shook your hand after the game. But when you start saying stuff like that it gets too personal. You don't have to say that, did anyone else say anything like that? No. Not from our side. Bart said his can't wait thing, but he didn't disrespect, he said they felt like they were better than us, he didn't say go suck ... do this or do that. It's personal, it's disrespectful."

Not for nothing, but I'm pretty sure that a) Belichick didn't mean for Revis to hear that comment and b) when he said it, he was being both personal and disrespectful. That's not typically a statement you make when you're being general and polite. But it's also not something you expect anyone to hear.

Revis wasn't done with Belichick though. He also decided to call out Tom Brady, when he was asked about Antonio Cromartie's decision to refer to Brady as an "a-hole" two years ago.

"And sometimes [Brady] is on the field," Revis said. "That's him saying his personal opinon about him, if that's how he acts on the field that's how he acts. He wants to throw a touchdown and point at our sideline, that's disrespect, man, that's not sportsmanship. Now, do people say words on the field to each other? Oh yeah, but when it gets out of hand, come on man. Sportsmanship, sportsmanship."

Look, Revis has a point. Brady and Belichick can be kind of jerks when it comes to the Jets rivalry. But if you're going to affirm that you think someone is an a-hole and call someone else "disrespectful" and "ignorant," well, it's a little awkward.

Since, you know, you yourself just made things personal. By being disrespectful. And if you don't understand that, then you're also ignorant.
