Cornerback Zack Bowman claimed rather lofty ambitions Tuesday in his introductory press conference after signing with the Dolphins. He is seeking to land a starting spot after stating he was told he would receive an opportunity to compete for it, per the Palm Beach Post.
Bowman, who will battle Jamar Taylor for the right to play aside set starter Brent Grimes, has not started more than seven games in a season since 2009, his second year in the NFL.
His 2014 numbers with the Giants were both good and bad. In five starts he led the league by allowing just 36.1 percent of passes tossed his way to be completed. But the 19.3 yards per completion he yielded was an NFL-worst.
