Dallas Reynolds watched the film and it confirmed what he already knew about his first NFL start.

“Some of it was pretty good,’’ he said on Thursday. “And some of it was pretty bad.”

The worst of the bad showed up on the scoreboard, where the Eagles had lost to the Arizona Cardinals 27-6 on Sunday. So Reynolds, taking over as the starting center for injured Jason Kelce, got a rude greeting. As to the way he played, Reynolds saw both sides.

“My initial calls were good, but I need to do a better job adjusting and adapting and I’m confident I will,’’ Reynolds said. “Obviously, it was my first time to play in a regular-season game and things happened really fast. But I felt more comfortable as the game went along and that gives me a lot of confidence going into this week’s game.”

This week’s game is against the New York Giants, another team with a physical and talented defensive front.

“It won’t be easy, but it’s not supposed to be,’’ Reynolds said. “This is the NFL, so every week is a challenge.”

Kelce hobbled into the locker room on Thursday and said he’s scheduled to have surgery on his knee soon and should be back in time for training camp next season. He also said that he kept a close eye on Reynold’s debut.

“I think he did a great job, especially considering the circumstances,’’ Kelce said. “I mean, the guy was making his first NFL start on the road in a real loud stadium and against a real good front line of the Cardinals. That’s a tough way to start and he handled things like a pro.”
