The Eagles, who are need of a guard after the release of Evan Mathis, plan to bring in guard/center Jared Wheeler on Monday, and may sign the free agent if he passes a physical, per ESPN.com.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Wheeler was a standout at the University of Miami but has not latched on in the NFL, with brief stints with the Bills, Panthers and Seahawks.
