Swingman Trai Essex has been impressed with Steve McLendon, playing NT in OTAs for a recovering Casey Hampton (ACL surgery). McLendon, the former 280-pound DL now claims to weigh 325. “He’s way too cut up to be a typical nose tackle,” Essex said. “This kid is going to be good.”
