Three days of practice are in the books, and rookie quarterback Andrew Luck has impressed so far. So much so, in fact, that one reporter said that he was the second most accurate quarterback he's seen. The most accurate? Peyton Manning.

Inquire within: After losing both linebacker A.J. Edds and OL Ben Ijalana to season-ending injuries earlier in the week, coach Chuck Pagano said following Tuesday's practice that the team could be looking to add a linebacker and offensive lineman. The Colts are off Wednesday, perhaps giving the coaching staff a chance to look at prospective replacements.

Around the corner: Jerraud Powers will start at cornerback. This much is known: Whoever will start on the opposite side of the field is now becoming more clear.  Justin King has been practicing with the first team at the other corner position, according to the Indianapolis Star. King spent the last three seasons with the Rams, appearing in 35 games and recording an interception. He signed with the Colts in June.

Hilton's special-teams prowess a divine right?: Speedy rookie T.Y. Hilton spoke with the Fort Wayne (Ind.) News-Sentinel and referred to his abilities in the special teams game as "God-given." Blazing speed, ability to make people miss and great field vision. Sure, I buy it. Hilton will likely start the season as the Colts' kick returner, but he said he also hopes to vie for a wide receiver spot.

Peyton Manning is a liar: New Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning said one year ago today that he will "be an Indianapolis Colt for my entire career" after signing a five-year deal worth $90 million with the team. Well, maybe not. This is certainly not an indictment on Manning; rather, it portrays the fluidity with which players come and go in the NFL.

You're in your element, Donnie: New offensive coordinator Bruce Arians appeared on XM radio Tuesday and he said that newly acquired wide receiver Donnie Avery would be the next Mike Wallace. And why not? Avery showed flashes of being a solid threat on the outside while with the Rams, and he'll certainly have plenty of chances on a Colts squad desperate for wide-outs.
