The depths of your soul: Well, not exactly. But the Indy Star's Mike Chappell has an early look at how the Colts' depth chart is shaping up. It has been three days, but we've learned that offensive lineman Jeff Linkenbach has moved to left guard, and that cornerback Justin King has inched ahead in the sweepstakes to play opposite cornerback Jerraud Powers.
Manning 'skeptical' of OL Ijalana: Interesting exchange occurred yesterday on Dan Dakich's radio show between Dakich and the aforementioned Chappell. Apparently former quarterback Peyton Manning wasn't much of a believer in Ben Ijalana, who was lost for the season to a torn ACL. According to Blue Stampede, Dakich said that he heard from a reliable source that Ijalana "can't play dead". Chappell reportedly said little in Ijalana's defense, stating that Manning "felt there was something missing". Ijalana has twice torn his ACL in the same knee.
Freeney and Luck dish: Veteran Dwight Freeney imparted some of his wisdom on rookie Andrew Luck: “I just basically told him, ‘You’re not out here by yourself,’” Freeney told the Indianapolis Star. “I understand there’s a lot of pressure that goes into the No. 1 overall pick and stuff, but you don’t have throw that all on your shoulders and think that you have to lift up this team. Just do your job.” Luck, for his part, was appreciative that the veterans had gone out of their way to help a "know-it-all-rookie".
Harnish gets some reps: Third-string quarterback and hometown hero Chandler Harnish has been getting plenty of practice in the first few days of camp. Harnish was the last pick of the 2012 Draft.
