Training camp started in earnest Sunday for the Colts, and the reviews are in: Andrew Luck is good! Former Indianapolis coach Tony Dungy thinks so, as does pretty much everyone else.
So, how is this Luck character?
Quarterback Andrew Luck has certainly gotten his share of attention in the offseason, and in his first practice, he didn't disappoint. Unofficially, Luck was 27-32 in drills with two interceptions. He did, however, earn praise from former head coach Tony Dungy, who tweeted: "Just watched the Colts first training camp practice with Andrew Luck. They are going to be in great hands for a long time!" He also told reporters after practice that Luck looked more like a third- or fourth-year guy, not a rookie.
There's more than one rookie QB in town, pal
The last pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, known widely as "Mr. Irrelevant", also started practice with the Colts Sunday. Chandler Harnish, a native of tiny Bluffton, Ind., spent his last days before camp picking corn, according to a story in the Indianapolis Star. "I think he'll probably give Luck a run for his money," a local told the paper. Probably not, but a nice story about a kid chasing his dream.
