Houston Texans news and notes for Tuesday:
- The Texans have agreed to terms with wide receiver DeVier Posey and offensive guard Brandon Brooks, their third-round picks in this year’s draft, reports John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. Houston has now signed all eight of its draft picks before reporting to training camp on Friday. Both players play a position where depth is needed on the offensive side of the ball. Posey missed most of his senior season at Ohio State due to off-field issues but his talent is not questioned. Brooks was an honorable mention All-American in his senior season at Miami (Ohio) and will provide some competition for new starting right guard Antoine Caldwell.
- Eric Berger of the Houston Chronicle says the Texans have the worst training camp weather in the NFL.
- CBSSports.com’s Pat Kirwan and Pete Prisco both project the Texans to go 9-7 and win the AFC South.
