Julio Jones won't be the only Atlanta receiver rehabbing from a foot injury over the next few weeks, so will Drew Davis. Falcons coach Mike Smith announced on Saturday that Davis will miss at least the next six weeks after undergoing a procedure on his foot.
"Drew felt some discomfort in his foot at the end of minicamp," Smith said. “We decided to send him to the doctors for some evaluations and it was determined he had suffered an injury that would require a procedure. He recently had the procedure done and we expect him to miss around six weeks."
The Falcons have placed Davis on their training camp PUP list.
Going into his fourth-year in Atlanta, Davis is coming off his best season with the Falcons. The 25-year-old caught 12 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns in 2013. Roddy White is the only returning Falcon who caught more scoring passes than Davis last season.
With Davis out, the Falcons added another wide receiver last week in the form of journeyman Courtney Roby.
