Steelers vs. Texans Monday Night Football betting preview
The Steelers (10-7) went from being the overwhelming favorites to play Wild Card Weekend in Week 17, to underdogs entering Week 18 and needing a shockingly missed field goal on the final play of the 2025 NFL regular season to make the playoffs. But the Steelers defeated the Ravens, 26-24, on Week 18 Sunday Night Football to win the AFC North following a masterful two-minute drill drive by Aaron Rodgers. The 42-year-old quarterback hasn't given much away about his fate for after this season, but this certainly could be his final NFL season, meaning Monday could be the final game of his Hall of Fame career.
Rodgers has been playing some of his best football of the season lately, though, including throwing for a season-high 294 yards against the Ravens last week. But Monday will be one of his toughest tests of the season against a Texans defense that ranks second in the league in scoring defense at 17.4 ppg allowed. The Texans (12-5) have a capable offense, ranking 13th at 23.8 ppg, led by the quarterback-receiver combo of C.J. Stroud and Nico Collins. The Steelers will host as the divisional winner, but for NFL betting, the Texans are 3-point favorites in the latest NFL odds at Fanatics Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 38 points. He led Toronto with 31 points as the Raptors improved to 24-16 on the season.
Joel Embiid didn't play on Sunday, and his status is one to monitor for Monday. Tyrese Maxey had a game-high 38 points for the 76ers, as he's third in the league in scoring at 30.7 ppg this season.
