NFL betting preview
The Bills (12-5) are playing in their seventh straight postseason, and the biggest obstacle that has stood in their way in failing to reach the Super Bowl over the last six years is not a concern this time. The Bills have been eliminated in back-to-back years by the Kansas City Chiefs, but the three-time reigning AFC champions aren't in the playoff bracket this year. However, that doesn't mean an easy road for Buffalo, beginning with the Jaguars (13-4), who are on an eight-game winning streak. The Bills are 1.5-point favorites in the latest Sunday Wild Card Weekend NFL odds at FanDuel, with an over/under set at 51.5 points.
The Eagles (11-6) begin their quest for back-to-back Super Bowl titles when they host the San Francisco 49ers (12-5) on Sunday. The 49ers went from being a win away from having the No. 1 seed in the NFC to traveling across the country to face the Eagles after falling to the Seahawks, 13-3, last week. Although the offense struggled against Seattle, the 49ers had been averaging 42.3 points per game over their prior three games. The Eagles went 5-1 against non-NFC East teams in the conference this season. Philadelphia is favored by 4.5 points, with an over/under set at 44.5 points at FanDuel.
Two young quarterbacks who could become future faces of the NFL go head-to-head on Sunday night, with Drake Maye and the No. 2 Patriots hosting Justin Herbert and the No. 7 Chargers. Both quarterbacks were the third at their position drafted in their class, which can motivate a competitor to prove others wrong. Maye certainly has this year, as he's the second-favorite in the NFL MVP odds, and Herbert has thrown for more than 3,700 yards for the fifth time in six years. The Patriots are 3.5-point favorites at FanDuel, with an over/under of 46.5 points. Sign up for FanDuel Sportsbook here:
