Future NFL opponents aren’t the only ones who will be trying to tear down Robert Griffin III. No, allegedly, one of his former classmates at Baylor already had a head start at that.

Former Baylor basketball player Richard Hurd has been arrested and charged with the attempted extortion of Griffin, according to KWTX.

Hurd was arrested Friday night by FBI agents, and on Monday morning, he was still in McLennan County Jail awaiting bond. FBI special agent Eric Vasys told KWTX that he couldn’t comment on the arrest until after Hurd appeared in court. He’s scheduled to be in court at 3 p.m. ET on Monday.

Or perhaps not at all.

No other details on the alleged extortion attempt have been disclosed.

Hurd walked on to the Baylor basketball team in 2004, and he played there for four years. He had his biggest success his freshman year in 2004-05 when, as a forward, he averaged 17.0 minutes per game and averaged 4.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Hurd didn’t average more than 3.0 minutes per game the rest of his career.
