The possible absence of fellow Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie would place Zack Bowman front and center Sunday against Dallas And that could mean an individual battle against Cowboys stud receiver Dez Bryant.
Bryant has 36 catches for 439 yards and four touchdowns through six games, but Bowman is expressing admiration, not fear.
"He has a phenomenal mindset when it comes to the ball," Bowman told NJ.com. "Obviously, it's going to be about just going out there to compete, to try and out-compete him. We have a nice game plan for the Cowboys."
Bowman, who has been used mostly on special teams this season, is embracing a potentially expanded role.
"It won't be tough," he said. "Obviously we have a mentality for the next guy up. It's not my first rodeo. I've played in games before. Like I said, it's about being confident and knowing what I'm doing out there."
