Who can forget the last time Josh Norman and Odell Beckham, Jr. faced each other?

The drama, the feuding, the penalty and personal-foul fest. Oh, and the fines -- to the tune of $26,000 for Norman alone following that game on Dec. 20, 2015, between the Giants and Panthers, Norman's former team.

It was ugly, and not a good look for either player. And neither the Redskins, Norman's new team, nor the Giants want a second act of the Beckham-Norman Show to overshadow this early season showdown in the NFC East. Yeah, good luck with that. As Pete Prisco writes:

Both have said some not-so-nice things about the other since then, and the Redskins plan to travel Norman from side-to-side on Beckham, which will be a treat. Get the popcorn ready.

Indeed.

Even though it's only Week 3 and drama aside, there's plenty at stake for Washington. The defending NFC East champs are sitting at 0-2 and can't afford to drop two straight division games. Last week they lost a close one to the rival Cowboys at FedEx Field. Quarterback Kirk Cousins, playing on a one-year prove-it deal, has put up decent numbers but has been dreadful in the red zone. That'll have to change against New York.

The Giants, meanwhile, are staring at a 3-0 start thanks to their revamped defense, which is paying big dividends early on. As Prisco noted in his breakdown of Big Blue's new defense, New York spent big in free agency, bringing in defensive tackle Damon Harrison (Jets), defensive end Olivier Vernon (Dolphins) and corner Janoris Jenkins (Rams) for a combined $200 million -- if they play out their deals -- and $105 million in guaranteed money. They also added free agents in linebacker Keenan Robinson (Redskins) and corner Leon Hall (Bengals) and also re-signed end Jason Pierre-Paul.

Do you want butter and salt for that popcorn?

Giants

Prisco's Pick

The Giants have a chance to take a big-time hold over the Redskins in the division, almost burying them. Kirk Cousins has done some shaky things, and the Giants defense is playing really well. The Giants get after him and win it.

Pick: Giants 23, Redskins 16
